Nashville Predators captain Roman Josi was activated from the injured reserve just in time for Saturday's matinee matchup against the Los Angeles Kings.
Josi missed four games due to a lower-body injury.
The captain showed his worth instantly in his first game back, helping set up his team's second goal stringing a wicked toe-drag into a clean pass to teammate Jonathan Marchessault for the assist.
The 34-year-old from Bern, Switzerland, is second on the team in scoring with 23 points (seven goals and 16 assists) in 29 games.
Josi, who captured the Norris Trophy in 2020 as the league's top defenceman, also leads the team with an average of 24:59 in ice time.
Nashville entered Saturday's game last in the Central Division with a 9-17-7 record.
